Emotions…

Emotions represent an internal alarm that informs us that it is time to prepare for action. They inform us in several ways that something is important.

First of all, we experience changes in the body, in the work of internal organs. These changes serve to prepare the whole organism better for the desired action. Emotions are an integral part of our lives. They largely determine its quality and permeate all important areas of our functioning – relationships with friends, family, partners, colleagues. In some situations they can save us, but also do great damage to us, as well as to people around us. Emotions are the signals of our soul. They tell us that there has been some important change in our environment, they help us to orientate ourselves more easily in life. It is important that we have knowledge about them, because following these signals, we are easier to navigate in the world. The emotion function is to enable us to adapt and survive. And unpleasant emotions are an integral part of life and we all have them. For example, sorrow, an emotion that helps us overcome the loss of someone or something important to us. We must allow ourselves to grieve and though sadness slows down, passes us, takes away our energy, yet using our resources, grief helps us adapt, accept the loss, and continue to live. This is the phase that is needed. If we stop this process, we will not accept the loss and this will drain us a lot of energy. It is therefore important that we deal with our emotions, to overcome such situations faster and easier.
