Emotional Intelligence

In my dreams, I have a  great memory. In reality my memory is shot. I am told it is all in there somewhere and yet it is often out of reach. Somewhere, recently, I read that someone was an emotional intelligence coach. I was intrigued. I have never hear the term and was interested in learning about emotional intelligence.

I trudged through a lot of papers written on the subject. I found an explanation that seems to resonate with me. It is from a paper written by Bernard Knight. This is what he wrote “Emotional intelligence is what allows us to step back and review the consequences of a decision using our emotions as a point of reference rather than as a basis for the decision. The great thing about emotional intelligence skills is that they can be evaluated and strengthened at any time. Like IQ, EI (emotional intelligence) can be measured.”

I think it might be interesting to see where my EI is!

  • Would you ever have your EI Tested?

    • Yes
    • No
