Dwarf Ixora

Years ago dwarf Ixoras were a craze. Everyone seemed to have it in their garden except me.  I have the bush type but somehow I never got myself the dwarf ones which were just half a feet tall.

Somehow they are all kinds of issues with these plants, my friends kept complaining that no matter what they did, their plants would die on them.  However, when I saw this white one I decided to buy. It was pretty, blooming so well and then one day the leaves look wilted and slowly it died despite my attempts to save it.

I wonder if it was because we tamper so much with nature that we want to adapt huge bushes to fit into our tiny containers.  I have seen that happen with Lantans years ago but the ones that survived have done very well.

  1. All flowers are beautiful, dear Dawn … as far as nature is concerned, we have already destroyed a lot of it, and now nature is really avenging us

  2. We have this but the normal size. And this particular variety of ixora is different. It has a strong smell and also it gets suckers that we just pull out as they tend to crowd the garden.

    • The one I had had no fragrance, absolute none. . I want to get the normal white ones now. nothing really grows that well in containers. Except of course for lettuce, tomatoes and dahlberg daisies lol
