There are many issues that are facing Virily. Over the years, users have complained and offered suggestions which will make Virily conducive to users.
There are still issues that are pending. As noted by Doc and Carol, many users had left Virily last year. Our numbers are decreasing significantly which is affecting our earnings significantly.
If Virily isn’t profiting, they might be forced to close the site. For the site to exist for three years and pay its writers is something to be proud of the site as users. It’s a testament of their continuous dedication and effort to ensure the site remains afloat.
As users we have a job to play. And I have noted users are coming with different ways of ensuring we benefit from the site as users and the site also benefits from our input and theirs.
As explained by Doc (I think 2 years ago) setting up a site and maintaining a site isn’t easy. There are many things to consider including costs. This rings true to setting up a blog. It takes months or years to begin reaping profits from a blog.
Let us not give up on Virily. Also worth noting, as users we can contribute to the site’s downfall.

I really like Virily. And we should be grateful for it.
It is a good site since it pays and offers a platform to interact.
I have just sent an article called: I love Virily. Far too many people write against Virily and I am reverting thi situation
Looking forward to reading the article. There is the negativity of the site but also there is the positive side.
Taking care of a site is not an easy job and bugs are unavoidable; the bigger issues to me are the lack of communication between admins and users, and the users reactions towards the problems (they often get blown out of proportion).
It is true running a site isn’t a big thing. The lack of communication from Virily is th most frustrating problem among the old users. I wish they were more communicative.
I’m not most pleased with Virily … there are many flaws
If they only communicated with us…many issues would have been solved.
There are issues still to be solved and admins lack of interacting with writers.
When I can I work on Virily site..
I understand you are busy and it is a good thing you are still active on the site.
As long as Virily is up on its feet then that’s pretty good to me already.
The fact it is paying is a good sign that it is still conducive to writers. I hope the issues that affect some of the writers will be dealt with.
I am satisfied with the site. Every site occasionally has problems.
It is true, every site has occasional problems and it’s our hope the issues will be solved.
I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE SITE. I am still trying to get new users to come to the site. I have my own blog and have written articles about Virily. It’s still one of the few sites left that does still pay it’s writers. There are not many left like this. We as authors for the site play the biggest role in whether it succeeds or fails.
You are right. As writers, we play a big role in the longevity of the site since without the writers such a site like Virily cannot succeed. Virily is one of the fewer site (less than 10) that pays its writers. Hopefully, things will be sorted out.
What are the other ones because all I know of is mylot?
Hubpages which happens to be the biggest revenue writing sharing site.
Vocal.media
Tuetego
Expertscolumn
Tuetego is like Virily. The others require writers to submit lengthy articles – a minimum of 600 words.
I tried that one awhile back I am looking for some place that would be interesting in my dream interpretation articles and other spiritual types stuff.
Which one? I would suggest Hubpages. Nowadays, it is better.
They are writing revenue sharing sites. With expertscolum you have to reach a minimum of $5 and Tuetego 5 pounds to withdraw. I have not yet checked the minimum to withdraw from Vocal.media. With hubpages is $50.
Or, you can choose upfront sites that pay you when they accept your article.
It’s tuetego the one that you have to have so many points each day, before they even start paying you? Or, am I thinking of a different site?
Yes, with Tuetego you have to earn many points to be paid. The good is that you can earn points by voting articles. You will earn more points than reading or creating posts.
Vocal is 600 words while Hubpages is 800. Experts column is still experiencing site problems. You have to search whether your country is eligible for stripe payment.
Currently the values are low due to Google’s update. As of last year I did not publish a new post but I was earning an average of $60.
I can’t remember them clearly but one of them was constant content. I will let you know once I remember them
@Tasartcraft, it is impossible for the replies to follow each other chronologically due to lack of reply on every reply.
I will have to do a review of Hubpages and Vocal so it can be easier to query about them.
Expertcolumn is experiencing technical problems for over two years so registering new members or posting is difficult.
As regards sites that pay upfront payment, will do some research and write a post about it. It is many years since I wrote for them.
I am not sure why you are confused. I do what I can to help virily but, I am having issues. I am no different than others on this site.
I just because I am having tech problems doesn’t mean I am going to leave the site or that I have a problem with the site itself. It is the tech issues that are the problem
I am not happy with the site and as I learn new things. I am realizing that I will just write and not worry about it anyone.
That is one of the biggest problems, we can’t do anything about it.
@Tasartcraft, Hubpages is where I earn $60.
I am not very active there. I am still finding my way there.
I did not know that. Also, when you try to content the support team it’s not working.
Like I said before, I have pretty much been giving up hopes on getting any answers. I come here for the other writers. I do enjoy reading their work. I am here when I can be and that’s it anymore. Best of luck to you.
True, but all you can do is your best and what is best for you
Sorry, about the reply to myself. I didn’t realize I had done that. I am glad, you got the information.
Vocal does not pay through PayPal, if that makes a difference to you tasartcraft. That is why I do not write there.
I think they do a questions list. https://vocal.media/resources/vocal-faq
Vocal rewards its users on a CPM (cost per thousand) basis; more commonly known as “reads.” The more reads your post receives, the more you are compensated. Therefore, the more you promote your post through our community, your social networks, friends and family, the more reads you’ll have in your account. Once you accumulate $35 in your Vocal account, you can withdraw the money via Stripe (more below).
Lol…I will have to write a new post because the lack of reply button at the end of every reply is messing things up. I am not active on Vocal but will be so this year.
Ha haha…and we have tried our best to comment as much as we can…
I have no problems with virily. Of course, virily value could be higher but I do not complain. For those who are not satisfied and all-time complain of how Virily is bad – open own site and try it. We can play by rules or leave it.
Once I have left when I did not like how things were going here, but came back and got used again. May one day I will leave again, who knows, but I will not start complaining, I am actually grateful for opportunity to write here and get to know many writers, including you.
The site does face several issues. Like you, I left the site only to return three days later. And left again but found myself coming back. I also got used to writers here like you the reason I have remained. It is a good platform to publish and interact with others here. Hopefully, things will get better.
Lack of communication from Virily is the biggest hindrance. If they we’re responding we wouldn’t be complaining a lot because we would gave found a common ground. But overall, it’s a good site. Having made friends here, I won’t be leaving any sooner.
The communication reply was a response to yours. The issues that exist on this site boil down to communication. Without good communication it is uncertain what the future holds as you’ve said.
I have many issues, and those who do not have not been here long enough to realize the issues. Not as hopeful as I once was.
It is true there is still issues to be solved. I received an email from a Hubpages staff that there will be an updated Hubpages policy by January 29. It directed me to the site’s forum. In the forum I noted how a staff member was responding to users’ questions. If it were the case here where there was a platform to interact with admin.
I have no problem with Virily. There are a few things that bother me but that is more because of the actions of some users.
I understand you. Some users can make enjoying one’s input on the site a tall order. That is really a problem.
Virily is great site. I hope Virily will be more profitable.
That is all my hope, it will be profitable for both admins and users.
The sad reality is well covered in your post and poll.
the reality of where we are is where we were two, three years ago.
sometimes you have to stop chasing dreams.
Sometimes chasing dreams is fruitless. But there is the possibility of what if…
it is always chasing what if…
Yah, it is always doing that??
I love Virily , it is up to us to help this site do better.
You are right, Dawn. We can help this site to be better and be a benefit for all of us.
I have currently NONE problems in Virily
But Honestly I love more the Old version than these newly updated virily.
I understand your liking of the old version. It had some good on it. The views are the major concern because the lower that views the lower the earnings.
As long as I see Virily on google to log in, I will be staying. Lately I have not posted as much due to lack of time and also energy but I still log in daily to check on posts and read them and comment. It is too bad that Virily is sliding slowly away but it is up to everybody to do some effort (including me) and the administration to keep the site afloat.
That is true. We have to do our best to ensure the site remains afloat.
I have no issues with Virily. Unless I am occupied elsehwere I get my 1000 virils every day. I share, I write posts, I respond and comment as much as possible.
Also, I have no problem with Virily. You put a lot of effort and get good views. But, since we earn Virily from users and not external and the decrease in earning views and the quick exit of users; it will reach a point we will be impacted negatively.
The value of Virily has gone down but unlike many other sites Virily pays
I’m kinda afraid that it might come to a point whereby the value doesn’t justify our efforts and then perhaps … … …
Users could help them stay healthy
We are all involved. We have a part to play but also the staff have their roles to play. I don’t want to think when the site won’t be paying anymore if they don’t solve some issues.
You are right Alibb. It sounds as if we care much about the site than them.
I’d not be too positive on this, to be honest, though I don’t want it happening too …
but sometimes I feel we’re like the air stewardess running around trying to solve problem in the cockpit. *shrug*
Curious too … that is a lot of Virils!
