For dogs with heavy coat it is imperative to be groomed regularly like once a month especially during summer as a defense against the excessive heat. Grooming here costs $10 that comes complete with shampoo, ear and oral cleaning. But it’s not good for the dog to be groomed too often.

I am the resident dog groomer here, and have two dogs. One wolf mix, heavy double coat, she gets a monthly deshed treatment and bath. The other is a short haired aussie mix, she gets one every two months. True you can over bath, once a week will dry skin and coat, twice a week is okay if you use a mild shampoo and conditioner. Once a month is preferable for most dogs and owners.
We all need grooming! Often.
