Are you guilty of this annoying texting habit? This one is my pet hate. While talking to someone, a message alert informs the person, of an incoming text, so, mid-sentence, they take a look and then start typing out an answer. No foul, no harm, right? WRONG!. Re-directing your attention, even briefly, away from the person you’re talking to, shows them that they are not even remotely your present priority right now this makes them feel like you’re not even listening. Warning, rather ignore the stream of phone alerts during an in-person conversation, you just might be able to keep a friend.

It’s really annoying, but typing one short answer has probably happened to me too at some point.
Never. And when you sit down to eat at my table all the phones go into a basket until the meal is completed. It’s one of my nonnegociables.
I am certain I spelled that wrong – oh well you get it right?
