I read an article today about a man who gave up Facebook and what happened as a result. One of the benefits he listed was saving money. He would click on the ads and buy stuff he didn’t really need.
I thought this was odd since I’ve been on Facebook for over 10 years and you can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I’ve looked at an ad on purpose. The only purchase I made was a t-shirt.

I don’t know that I’ve seen any ads for art competitions.
Aah. I’ve seen some sponsored posts but these don’t strike me as familiar.
If I came across some ads that can pique my interest, I would click those. But seldom that I buy an item. Though I know that ads are a good strategy to get sales. I know that some of my officemates frequently buy items from online stores.
For me ads are okay, I just don’ t those ads that want pop-up or pop-under.
Yeah. Pop-up ads are awful. I’m able to tune out the others for the most part.
I really dislike Ads on TV or anything else, so I immediately ignore them
Me too. However there are some that are very funny. There’s an insurance company in the USA called Geico which makes some very funny commercials.
I don’t look at the ads at all, nor am I an impulse buyer. But I know impulse buyers and those ads are like crack for them…
I pay attention to ads and sometimes click on them, but I’m very good at holding myself from buying. Fortunately, I mostly waste time there, not money… ?
I know what you mean about wasting time.
I never clicked on an add.
Have never clicked on an ad. That sounds intentional.
I don’t even see the ads on Facebook anymore.
