Chayote belongs to the “fruit vegetable” category, as does the tomato. Being a fruit vegetable means that the seeds are in the edible part. It belongs to the cucumber, pumpkin, watermelon and melon family.
I know it has many benefits to our health as it has many vitamins and antioxidants and I use it a lot, especially in soups.
These ones are from my garden and this year I have so many that I gave some tomy sisters and so e good friends and I still have many to harvest.
