Do you know about “Basant”.?

Basant has been an important festival of the history and culture of the Indian subcontinent which is celebrated on the eve of Spring. It is a kind of joy festival in which people perform kites and organise music concerts. Beginning in mid-February, men and women carry their kites and go to the roofs of their homes and face kite-flying. At present, the thread used for kite-flying is made of dangerous metal which has led to the loss of many lives that is why the government of Pakistan has a strict ban on kite-flying today. Because of this, the color of the festival has faded a little these days. However, in the towns and villages of Punjab, the festival is celebrated with traditional enthusiasm.
