Day care center

It used to be kindergarten when the child is younger than grade school age. The kindergarten is the so called pre-school where the child can learn some basic education like the alphabet that is usually in the form of a song or a poem. Later on the preparatory school came to fore which is a prelude to the kindergarten. But not to be outdone, some wise educators have put up the so called day care center.

The day care center is actually a depository of children and not really intended to be a school. But since the children are there, what good activities to do but a learning activity. Children ages 1 to 4 are taught songs and dances. They are also taught how to eat properly aside from the words and sentences that they have to learn to be a good child. In other words, the day care center is an extension of the home.
