I love how majestic and colorful the date palms look when their laden with fruits. The sweet taste of dates, fresh and juicy is another experience by itself. There are a lot of vendors selling fresh dates in their carts in the summer months. However, its the tree laden with fruits that captures my imagination the most.
I love seeing the yellow dates better, but I guess there aren’t too many around here now. I wonder what happened to all the date palms, have they all become victims to the greed of the real estate sharks and are now buried under concrete of the city.
Trees are disappearing at a pace I have never seen before. I have made it my mission to plant as many trees as possible. When you cannot fight the powers that be you still can do your bit for our little blue planet.

I love the date. Even in our country, we have fewer trees that are very sad.
