Dance – Thursday Reflections

Dancing isn’t really my strong point ( i have two left feet) and yet I write so much about dancing. I was reading on of the short stories I had written years ago, because a friend read it online and told me what she felt about it. I had to read the story again because there were so many I had written 8-10 years ago and I didn’t exactly remember what she was talking about.

Creative writing has always been my passion. I wrote my first hundred plus word story when I was five. My teacher read it to the class. I have been writing ever since.

But why dance? I really don’t know. To me to dance is to let down my hair  and give expression to what I feel.  Dance allows me to be me, to be the free spirit that I am.

I love the saying, ‘Dance like no one is watching, Sing like no one is listening, Love like you’ve never been hurt and Live like heaven is on the Earth’.

I would love to make a tiny change in that quote – Love like you can never be hurt.

To love is shed fear and become what you love. The Bible says There is no fear in love, perfect love casts out fear. 1 Jn 4:18

Tonight as I looked up into the sky and watched the moon , I let my hair down and danced because no one was watching me. In the dark where no one could see me, or that is what I thought.
