Here is another addition to crazy color challenge. Today I walked through a nearby field. I felt like I was walking a maze. This year, farmers have planted a huge amount of corn. Corn, in general, is considered one of the most famous cereals, originating in South America, more specifically from the Peruvian highlands. It was brought to the European continent by Christopher Columbus, and due to its fertility and versatility, it has expanded rapidly in Europe. Corn is one of the most important crop plants, many times in history it has been credited with the survival of much of humanity. Corn is a healthy and whole food and contains many nutrients. Corn is a surprisingly rich source of antioxidants, proteins, vitamins B, C and E and manganese, magnesium and zinc.

Me, too but I have everything in it.
I really like the photo with the path! ?
Yes, I see many corn fields in my area. We eat a lot of polenta (corn porridge) in Northern Italy. Well, we used to eat a lot, it was the staple food back in time. ?
I agree with your incentives. Our two countries are neighbors, so our habits are very similar ?
I also love boiled corn with salt and mayonnaise
This must be delicious, I haven’t tried it yet
I love corn bread ….
Corn is one of my favorite vegetables.
I love corn too, I prefer to have a roast on the embers
I have often planted sweetcorn in the garden and its great when it is your own, it does take the nutrition out of the soil…
I have a garden too small to plant corn.
I love corn. I also like to grow it. I just don’t have the space here. We have a lot of corn growing here . I think it is the kind used for fuel.
We use it only for animal and human consumption. I have never heard that it was cultivated for fuel.
I love roasted corn on embers.
I agree. I also prefer corn roasted on embers.
We just harvested the corn in the nearby cornfields.
I also sometimes pick it up when I walk
A lot of corn is planted here too … very nice pictures, dear Vidocka
There is also a lot of corn in my area
Then we won’t run out of good crusty bread, dear Vida
We will surely have enough bread
Do you like corn bread, dear Vida?
There used to be a cornfield behind our home but now it is filled with houses. Sad/
Unfortunately, this is also happening in our country. Some do not appreciate what nature has to offer.
Thank you for the background information on corn. We have a lot of corn grown in this country for human and animal consumption.
Thank you, Linda. We are increasingly using it for nutrition.
