A detailed shopping list was made this morning and the maid did the shopping. We have decided to send her just once a week.
The shops will be open from 7 to 11 every morning. All instructions have been given to her. She has been provided with a mask and she sanitized her hands before leaving.
As soon as she arrived from the stores, she went to her room and changed her clothes. She put all the items in a bucket and soaked those bags in water for washing later. All items in the bucket were washed and wiped before bringing them inside the house.
She then washed her hands thoroughly with soap and water before coming inside.

Question of
Do you shop every day during the lock-down period?
I didn’t go shopping daily even before the virus, but now it has become quite stressful and tedious.
My online shopping is not going smoothly. Items are either delayed or not available
now we are not doing daily shopping.
That is a wise thing to do. I have organised myself so that daily shopping is not required
My son works for one of the stores that are open to buy groceries. He is now working 3 days a week instead of 5. He brings groceries home to us. My 97 yr old mom and I. He wears gloves and a mask at work. They even have these thermometer strips that you hold to your forehead before work to check for temperatures. He then comes home, goes into the backyard from the gate. Strips down, clothes go to a plastic bag, shoes are sprayed and left in the shed. He then puts a robe on and comes inside, straight to the shower. Stay safe Grace.
That is how it should be and if everyone follows rules the disease can be kept in check but as you know that is far from the truth.
True, our governor just declared the use of non surgical masks for everyone that goes out in public now. If they get caught without one, it is a $1000 dollar fine and or jail time. They are starting to really crack down in California.
There is no other way. People should be disciplined.
I go shopping once a week. The shops are open from 09:00 to 20:00. These are the big grocery chains. I take my clothes out in the sun on the terrace. I disinfect my hands and face first with soap and then with a disinfectant. Although I go with a mask and gloves.
Once a week is an ideal frequency for shopping.
It certainly makes it a little more easier to cope during these times with food and extra essentials. I feel blessed that ours have remained open, but with less things like toilet paper, soap and hand sanitizer.
Everything is fine now. I am waiting for the guy who gets us fish and I understand they too will be about their business though with limited hours.
I can’t get to choose any answer for the poll but I don’t shop everyday since the crisis. I do it once a week too. As soon as I get home I also sanitize everything including my clothes and myself. It’s best to stay careful in this time.
This poll feature is a fiasco here. Nothing comes right but you have given your answer in the response Thanks.
