Coral Belles ~ Day 212

This is another favorite perennial in my front garden, called Cora Belles. They are a durable perennial flower grown mainly for its wide, silvery-burgundy leaves. Unlike many coralbells, this one is an excellent bloomer that gets lots of long-lasting, dainty, bell-shaped, light-pink flowers at the tops of 10-inch wiry stems. Blooms through most of June and July. The plants are about a foot tall with a 2-foot spread. Flower spikes rise another 10 inches above foliage. Very pretty border plant for your garden.

Another perennial that you cut all the way back at the end of the season and it returns bigger each year. It prefers some shade, so it fits well in front of my hydrangea bush in the front garden.
