Comfort Food

There is much discussion about comfort food in and with our extended family members. As siblings we grew up with a very bland father. Meat, potatoes, and a second vegetable, no spices were his requirements and 99% of the time he got his way. Mom really did try to please him.

So our comfort food, that Dad never said much about, were chicken and noodles served over potatoes, scones, and some form of goulash.

My husband’s comfort food is different. He loves cornbread. He eats chili on top of fried potatoes. His favorite vegetable is fried okra (something I had never heard of).

Sometimes it is hard to meet the needs of all.
