Color Crazy – sepia pitcher

For this week color crazy challenge I decided to share these pitcher flower. I took this picture last week, it has been raining so hard that the flowers aren’t so pretty anymore.

These are pitchers from my garden, as usual I don’t know what name do you give them, some people here also call it glass of milk.

I find them a plant with very graphic lines, with an exotic but very simple shape, which makes beautiful sophisticated jars, placed in three or four flowers, in a tall glass container without drawings or ornaments. In addition, they are an excellent cut flower as they last a long time, as long as it is placed in water. The jug is a winter flower that I pick up wet to make such elegant jars. It is one of the few plants where the leaf is as beautiful and usable as the flower.

  1. Love them, I have three in my yard, but they havent bloomed yet this year. I don’t think they get enough sunshine. I might have to dig up the bulbs and replant them. We call them Calla Lilies. They also come in red, orange and yellow, but I believe they are hybrids of the white.
