To make Virily even more yellow, I add to this challenge this beautiful sunflower flower. Sunflower originates from North America. As a cultural plant, it began to be used around the year 2600 before our count. The sunflower grows on all types of garden soil and is an annual, which grows up to 3 meters high. The flowers turn in the direction of the sun from east to west. It is used for cut flowers. From the seeds, oil is obtained. Leaves are used for tea (for lowering temperature, treating malaria and lung disease).

They are beautiful, and I love the seeds too!
Thank you, Ellie. Seeds are really delicious
This cute flower is like a small sun, shining even in bad weather!!!
I agree. I have it in the garden and it really looks like a sun
Sunflowers are indeed beautiful and I love to eat the seeds. I have tried growing the sprouted seeds as microgreens, but the leaves of other plants seem tastier to me. The flower petals are said to be edible, but also not very tasty.
I did not know that the leaves were edible. I noticed that you try many things. I like this. ?
Vidocka I live in an area where sprouts are really “IN” and for a while every supermart had sunflower sprouts, so I tried growing my own, thinking they would be more tasty.
In our country, the choice of such products is very modest
Love the giant sunflowers and will be planting some this spring
They’re really great, I have them in the garden too.
Lovely photo and I like sunflowers very much. I once grew some and was surprised to see how tall they grow
I also had them in the garden. They are really giants
I had no idea it had any medical applications…
I was also surprised when I found out that it was healing
and the seeds are good to eat, so this plant is anything but decorative…
A common flower that I used to see earlier on the countryside. Now not seeing anymore.
Even in our land sunflowers are getting smaller
We have these everywhere in the US in the gardens.
Most of our farmers grow sunflowers in our land
Wonderful flower … of course I know the sunflower … in our field there grows something … I did not know that healing flower
I was also surprised at the healing effects
Me too dear Vidocka………
we used to grow these in the garden. I loved eating the seeds!!!
I have something in the garden. We are also eating their seeds. We also feed the birds with the seeds
People all around where I lived in Indiana used to grow them. yum!
This is the most beautiful smile for me today, Vidocka.
I have misplaced that comment, but
To be sure, Virily is more yellow with your sunflowers, dear friend.
I agree. We need to make Virily happier ?
