This is a beautiful plant native to Brazil. The leaves are hairy and fuzzy and look quite lovely. These purple flowers appear in clusters. They look stunning. Its also called Glory Bush, Lasiandra, Princess flower etc.
These plants require regular watering , they rot with over watering or under watering. I have found it hard to keep this plant alive for more than one season.

OMG, I can’t believe what I am seeing. You came up with the name of a flower I have been trying to id for years now. I had one, it came up as a volunteer under my pepper tree. It bloomed one year, then died. Never came back. Now I can maybe get one. They are so wonderful. In the morning light the hairs on the plant just glowed. It was a fabulous plant. Great shot of this one, so clear and well, just perfect.
A beautiful flower that unfortunately does not grow in us, dear friend
Another incredible purple flower I have not seen.
With some more experience I am sure you will be able to keep these plants alive. You are a great gardener Dawn.
Thanks for the compliment. True sometime it takes experience and perhaps killing a couple of plants before we master the art of growing them.
