Americans seem to be either hard-core coffee or tea drinkers. I may be wrong but I get the impression that things are just the opposite in the United Kingdom.

I think so. I’m Italian and I have no preference, but Italians on average prefer coffee.
That makes sense. A lot of the fancy coffees in America have Italian-sounding names. I always thought that was just to make them sound more like something you’d want to pay $6.00 a cup for.
I think it’s the price that makes something fancy, not the name. ?
Good to know though! ?
Great point. The coffee is certainly no better than it is at the donut shop.
I also prefer coffee but I do drink a lot of tea.
I prefer Coffee if it is with milk. If it is black, I prefer tea, both without sugar.
Me too. Cream and sugar.
My favorite tea is Mint.
I don’t care for mint tea that much but there is a Persian restaurant my wife and I like which makes an iced mint tea which is wonderful.
I like both but hard to beat a cup of coffee.
That’s for sure. There’s something about coffee…
I prefer tea although I drink coffee too
I’m the exact opposite. I prefer coffee but I drink a lot of tea also.
I like both tea and coffee and there is other drinks than that too
I have to admit to having a Dr Pepper addiction.
I don’t know Dr Pepper.
It’s a cherry-based soft drink. It was invented by a Texas drug store owner a couple of years before Coca Cola was invented making it the first soft drink.
Thanks Gary, that’s really interesting
I prefer coffee unless the tea has some additives not the plain tea.
Do you mean herbal teas or some kind of flavoring?
Yah, some kind of flavourings though I also like herbal tea.
When I drink tea it’s herbal. I’ve never tried adding any flavorings.
