I get into the mood for seasonal flowers now and then and these cocks comb came up when I was in one such mood. I ordered for seeds and to my surprise most germinated. These are dwarf cocks comb. I had to be satisfied but I was expecting those tall plants with huge flowers
I did take care to preserve the seeds but they did not come up the second time. I admire those here who are good with their seasonal flowers and their gardens are always loaded with them.
I will not give up and learn to get satisfaction whenever they show up. Something is better than nothing as they say.

Some flowers survive better than others in our garden
In some gardens seeds from the earlier lot come up but not here. I have to freshly buy
I had these in many colors one year.. But did not replant from seed.
That is the problem with seasonal flower. One needs to be alert and remember to collect the seeds. s
I had a lot going on that year, my Dad passed and I had to walk away. Maybe I can start again another year.
We can always get back to what we have misised.
It’s a beautiful flower. Some time ago I had them in my garden.
If we do not collect those seeds and sow again they just disappear.
I’m out of luck with homemade seed so I prefer to buy one ?

I did have some cockscomb plants this came up this summer. Hope you have better luck next time.
One has to be exremely watchful when it comes to seasonal flowers.
