What a nice post! Still, in Serbia, we have plenty of time till Christmas, because we celebrate it on January the 7th. 🙂
I did not know that, very interesting.
Basically it’s the same date, but calendars are different. Western churches accepted Gregorian calendar, while Ortodox still holds on Julian calendar. Those two don’t match for some 14 or 15 days.
Wow it is so interesting to learn about other cultures. Thanks for explaining.
I truly enjoy Christmas, this is my favorite holiday
I am glad to hear that, Merry Christmas!
Wonderful poll, Carol! Although I lied in one of the answers. I TRY to wrap the gifts. I’m not that good at it, haha.
Thanks Ellie. At least you admitted it. 🙂
Marvellous pre-Christmas poll! Winter holidays are approaching!
Thanks you Anastasia for commenting.
Loved the poll! It’s amazing how creative you are
Thanks, I just know everybody, those who celebrate that is, have different traditions.
Fun stuff! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Thanks so much and the same to you!
I love Christmas. We gather the family. Of course, the youngest are most interesting and happy. While we were living in Bulgaria, we always had a real Christmas tree. It has a great aroma of freshness and freshness. We now have an artificial one. I give up for everyone.
Sounds like a wonderful time of the year Elenka.
Answered yes for most. We have a tree, but it’s a fake one. Still looks nice though. This was a fun poll!
Thanks for playing along glad you enjoyed!
My “yes” answer is for 3, 6, and 8. Because we are celebrating Christmas Eve at my mother’s house with all my siblings, brothers and sisters in law, and children of all of us.
Good answers! Good for you and your big family Albert. You are blessed, but you already knew that.
I don’t know about that yet, Carol. Just you are the one who said it.
You are blessed with a large loving family. 🙂
Ahh… about that, well, my family is big enough, but not too big for a size called big family in Indonesia. About loving, it’s true, though there’s always dynamics in life.
I really enjoy Christmas, or any other holiday just because family draws closer, not for the gifts.
I am glad you can enjoy family LaJenna. That is the reason for the season, or should be.
I love Christmas, but this year I have decided to just skip it. lol Great poll, I answered no to 3 5 and 7. We open one gift on Christmas eve, not all. When the kids were young you bet we set out cookies for Santa. And I used to send Christmas cards but no longer do. I send electronic cards I make.
I can completely relate Kim, I do that a lot and this year may not be the exception. Still so much going on with closing out my Dad’s estate.
Exactly, and I think thats okay to skip it now and then. I am going to be in between jobs and opening a new grooming shop on Jan 1. Need to save everything I can.
More people should keep their priorities straight, Christmas has become so commercialized I dread it every year.
I realize many cultures all over the world do NOT celebrate Christmas. If you do not, this poll is not for you.
I will have more options on my next poll.
I loved this poll. Just love this time of the year.
Thanks for playing Della! 🙂
My answers are all for what would apply on a ‘normal’ Christmas. Of course there are plenty of Virily users who come from cultures and religions where Christmas is not celebrated at all.
I understand Norman, and I suppose those would not take part in the poll. 🙂
I like Christmas. It’s time when my all family is together.
Good for you, thanks for visiting.
