Sending or receiving Christmas cards no longer plays as important a role that it played in my life in the good old days.
We would both sit and finalise the list before deciding who should get those cards. It was a job that we gave great importance to. Similarly I would be upset if I did not receive cards from those that sent them to my sister for example – there was emotion playing a major part.
For some reason I have lost interest in this activity although I do create a digital card and send it to a few here and there.
My emphasis now is to throw parties for the less privileged and that takes away most of my time.
That image that you see is of my house done up for Xmas a few years ago.

I still send postcards in Christmas, it is something I always do
Good you have kept that tradition alive.
I used to send a lot of Christmas cards but now this tradition has sadly overtaken my time
Many here I notice have also given up sending cards
Now computers and phones are here, dear Grace
Before the age of the internet I used to buy a bundle of Christmas cards.
We all did It was a shopping spree going for Xmas cards.
Back in the day, I had a long list of cards to send. Not any more. Most of my family and friends are gone now.
There are other ways I guess to bring in Christmas
I do not send Christmas cards anymore but I used to call all those who are important to me and wish something to them just before Christmas.
We used to even visit each other and that too has stopped.
We receive cards from children whom we sponsor every year at Christmas. I cherish them but I have given up sending cards years ago.
What used to be a great part of our life has ceased to exist now.
