I always had arrangements using poinsettias for every Christmas earlier. I do not have poinsettias in my garden and therefore sadly this time it will be different.
Poinsettias are ideal for using them while making Christmas candle arrangements. This is the flower that reminds one of Christmas events.
They stay in water for quite a few days and the Candle arrangements willl last until New Year for sure. A touch of tinsel and some green is all that is required to put up a great arrangement preferably with a red candle.

I never cut the flower bracts, I have fake silk poinsettias which I use for table decor. However, poinsettias being so slender and fragile break easily if you move them around. If there is a broken stem I use it for decoration.
I have just cut the flower but never with bracts
We get poinsettia in flowerpot almost every year. Unfortunately, the don’t last long after the holidays.
They are meant only for the Christmas season it looks like
