Graphic Novel, Real Friends is written by Shannon Hale, illustrated by LeUyen Pham. This book actually is a fairly “real” book in that it deals with problems children have interacting with their classmates. While most agree there are some problems at every school, when it is happening to an individual child, that child believes they are alone.
This book allows teachers, parents and students to talk about the characters and relate the issue, with characters instead of point fingers in the classroom.

you know it’s realy hard to make friends
It is a shame that bullies make life for some students so miserable they usually take their own lives or take it on some of their classmates.
Bullies have been around forever. So frustrating, they can destroy lives, literally forever.
I will fight with my dying breath to fight against bullies.
