Pakistan television is one of the largest network of the country. Its started its broadcasting on November 26,1964 in this historic building. Now Pakistan television has its five main centres which are situated in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta. These centres telecast many programmes in national language as provisional languages.
This historic building is now the central office of PTV Karachi centre. Once there was great creative work has been done in this office. The dramas produced by Karachi Centre in 70s and 80s were unprecedented. People still remember the names and characters of those dramas like “Khuda ki Basti”, “Marvi”, “Alpha Bravo Charli”, “Heer Ranjha” etc.
