Butterflies

Butterflies are the second largest order in the insect class. It includes over 160,000 described recent species of day and night butterflies, classified into 127 families and 46 superfamilies. According to the number of species described, only bugs outnumber them. They are known by the fact that they have a whole body, and especially wings, overgrown with tiny scales, which clearly distinguishes them from all other groups of insects. Butterflies are one of the most popular groups of animals due to their colorful colors and safety, and besides experts, a large number of amateur netmologists are involved. Butterfly science is lepidopterology. I found a picture of this butterfly in my image archiv.
