When there is an occasion and there are guests at home, the common style of dining is buffet. The dishes are set in the buffet table for the guests to get and they have the control of the amount of food on their plates. This style of dining causes a lot of wasted food.

I agree with you on food wastage. Even in restaurants, I prefer a la carte over buffet. But I don’t mind buffet for breakfast.
You should have invited all Virilian as well
