1. Hmm… I’ve no idea where these usually grows …
   I guess just enjoy its beauty then :p

2. too many strokes- I know nine, of course, and some of the radicals but I can’t read the last three characters…

   • 九重葛 is read as Jiu chong ge … the last word is (属)”shu” which actually is not included as the name of the plant, it actually means “belonging” or “in the same family”…along this line.

     and the 2nd word, “重” is also the same word use for heavy. when its use for heavy, it’s read as “zhong”. Chinese have same character that have 2 (or even 3) pronunciations and meanings.

3. Beautiful flower, I do not have it in my garden

     I was captured by it and that’s why I snapped it

4. I love Bugenvili, but I did not manage to raise it because the climate is colder.

     but you can grow other plants which are equally pretty 🙂

5. I know the plant and it is a great pretty plant to grow if you don’t want people climbing your fence, it is prickly

   • Really? I didn’t notice it has thorns… maybe I was too focused on the flowers …

     • I have had to cut it off someone’s place and it tore me to shreds…I think it is good protection from burglars and discourages them from climbing fences.

     And I still thought it’s hard to find a common plant since our climates are quite different!
     But we never know :p
