Black and White Friday ~ Our Parish Church

We had a nice sunny day today and it wasn’t too hot either. So I decided to take a walk to the neighboring village – Sencur. Sencur is already a small town. There is also a beautiful parish church. Today I took a shot from the other side. The parish church, dedicated to St. George, is first mentioned in written sources in 1238. St. George was a martyr and considered a patron of various knightly orders and soldiers. The present one-nave Baroque church was built in 1747 in the area of the elders, of which only the bell tower is preserved. The parish church, including the chapel and parish buildings and the remains of the former camp walls, is an important cultural and historical monument of local importance.

  1. Our church which is walking distance has been done up at great cost. It now looks pretty and huge. There is a single fan that caters to the entire hall.
