Black and White Friday ~ Orthodox Church in Ljubljana

Church of St. Cyril and Methodius is the church of the Slovenian branch of the Serbian Orthodox Church. It is the only typical example of an Orthodox (non-Byzantine) architecture, which stands out above all in the rich interior of the interior. The foundation churches were built in 1932 and completed informally in 1936. The church dedicated on October 23, 2005, and this is also the date of the formal completion of the church. Besides the church in the years, 2009-2012 formed the rectory or cultural and pastoral center.

  1. We mostly have Catholic churches in my area. But this Orthodox church is very quaint looking and also very sturdy. I just love the round towers at the top instead of our own usual peaked steeples. One of these days you will have to show pictures of the inside of the stunning church.
