Black and White Friday Challenge – The wagtail

I love these challenges because that means you need to go hunting for a picture. I found this in my archives. There wasn’t too much work to be done as the bird is black and white . There was no color in the picture except for the bright blue skies.

I didn’t expect the photo to to be as good as it is while taking it because of the height at which the bird was sitting and I was taking the photograph from down below. Every picture tells a story and every picture is a surprise. I love the way the eyes catch the light.  Can you see it?

The wagtails are about 10-14 cm long and their tail keeps wagging or moving up and down from where this bird gets its name. These small birds are pretty common near water sources and wherever there are open spaces.

  1. I’m sure the color picture would be nicer, my dear friend … well, it’s a matter of taste …. even black – white has a charm
