BJD stands for ball jointed doll, and they’re pretty big in Japan. Way more than you’d think. I used one of them for a Twilight Zone inspired banner and then inspiration struck me. I would tell you all about it but then it would ruin the surprise…

Only afraid of Talking Tina…

He was well rounded enough to play either type of role, but was typecast as a nice guy after Kojak…
The eyes of the doll on your photo are so alive, it seems to me that she wants to says something important…
She wants to say “Stop making robots and make dolls!”
Or, maybe, “Dolls + robots = it’s the future of the people!” 🙂
I suppose you could be right- doll technology is a foundation of robotics…
I missed that Twilight Zone Episode. I was a big fan of it and Rod Serling’s Night Gallery when I was a kid.
Which one, The After Hours or Living Doll?
It depends on what kind of dolls (the facial part) … some do creep me out… Barbie dolls don’t…lol
Many folks have issues relating to things that look human but aren’t…
And I guess part of it is because they usually look “dead”….
I think that’s one aspect. Another is that they look human but aren’t…
Of course, hence the last answer for question four
Oh my gosh, I just looked up Talking Tina, and just like Deeppizza guy said, she was on the Twilight Zone years ago. Cool!
…. sorry should have said Deepizzaguy.
That’s one of the most famous episodes. I prefer The After Hours, which is less famous but way more going on there…
Rod Serling could make them all sound so dramatic.
That man was so damn cool. He could write, he could act, he could do it all but play music…
I remember seeing reruns of Night Gallery.
That one talking doll from the Twilight Zone was spooky lol
Her name is Talking Tina, and she doesn’t like you…
So do you remember Talking Tina from the Twilight Zone show with the late Telly Savalas as the mean step dad.
Of course, hence the last answer for question four
I did not know that Telly played bad guys since I knew him from “Kojak”.
He was well rounded enough to play either type of role, but was typecast as a nice guy after Kojak…
That is the price an actor plays that he gets typecast as the character that made them famous.
