Birthday Ring ~ Alphabet Crazy

I made this birthday ring for my son on his 5 year old birthday a few years ago. It was usually made by wood, but I am certainly not good at woodworking and I can’t afford to buy one wooden birthday ring, so I thought of using salt dough to make one. It worked out nicely!

Initially I wanted to use this birthday ring for years, until he is 8 years old (as there are only 8 slots), but I didn’t know I needed to dry it always and it was filled with mold. I might make another for my youngest next year.

How do you usually celebrate your birthday?

    • This birthday tradition is popular in your country? I only read about it after I learned about Waldorf Education a few years ago.

That’s actually not a cake. It’s just a “tool” (birthday ring) to hold candles and some props. It’s not edible. 😛
