We all like baked french toast, and we all like different kinds of french toast. So we have adjusted, again and now we make them in ramekin. That way we can use the base ingredients and specialize the toppings to each individuals favorite.
I make them the night before and put them in the fridge. The base is torn up french bread, eggs, and whipping cream. Then simply add toppings. Cover them and let them soak overnight. Pop them in the oven in the morning.
Here are some we’ve had recently. Brown Sugar topping, caramel and cream, blackberry, pomegranate, maple, apple cinnamon and mandarin oranges. Variety is good and to each his or her own!

Nice one, I love to buy outside which is much more longer than I able to bake.
I like my French Toast differently. I take toaster bread and dip it in whipped up egg and then place side by side on a baking sheet and top the pieces of bread with a mixture of chopped fried bacon and onions. Then bake for about 15 minutes and sprinkle with some cheddar and bake until melted. This can be used for breakfast too.
Great toppings could be fruit toppings with cool whip.
That does sound great. What kind of fruit would you have?
Apples, cherries, peaches, or even blueberries. Make the topping like a pie filling, then, pour it on top.
