Kim Johnson has started an April challenge here: Just for Fun. Trees is the subject.
The attached photo is a Tulip Poplar tree in my backyard. You can see a few blooms that are tulip shaped. The blooms contain seeds the birds love to eat. The tulip shaped blooms is where the name originated. If you look closely you can see a baby bluebird! This was taken last year. I watch the babies fledge from the nest and they immediately fly away. Amazing they know how to fly straight from the nest. I watch closely to try to see where they go. Usually they leave the yard but eventually follow the parents back into the yard. It is rare to get a photo at this age as the parents are closeby at all times. Another little thing to share, at no extra charge to enjoy!

What a camouflage master! It took me a while, but lately looking for birds in the trees takes a lot of my free time and I think I am getting good at it. 🙂
Yes, that is how they survive against predators… including me!
Oh my goodness he blends well. He looks like the bark. Great shot and cool to find. IT Took me FOREVER hahaha. Have a great day and thank you for the game.
I know, I almost missed him while outside! Thanks Kim.
Great photo, very nice! I haven’t found the bird yet…but I haven’t given up
Thanks, do you see the suet cage? It is green. Look to the left of the handle. He was white spots.
I did not see the baby bird on this image.

I’ve been trying to find it, is it something yellow and black-eyed on the tree branch beneath the leaf… in the top center of the image, just little bit under “Tw” for twitter?
Do you see the suet cage at bottom right of photo? It is green. Look to the left of the handle. He is blue with white spots.
Uu… It has been my “suspect” since I first saw it, unfortunately not quite clear because it is masked by the texture of the bark, in addition, I am stuck with the word baby and the scale in my imagination
I know, he is camouflaged very well!
I saw the bird AND the cage
Smarty pants. That is my empty suet cage that needs to be filled.
I’m so smart my pants are in Mensa!
That is an honorable society to have anything.
I’ve never understood the term ‘smarty pants’ but it does make me grin
