Awakened Our Potentials ~ 365 Photos Challenge #230

Working according to interests and desires is not always easy to obtain. I am grateful that my profession and work are something that I like even though the profession is different from my educational background. Somehow the opinion of others about it but I am grateful for this reality.

With a hobby of drawing that I realized from childhood, I then chose interior design as a profession. I like the profession but at one point in time, something has diverted me to another very different profession that started from the awakening of my other talents which I did not even realize and even assumed as impossible, namely the ability to communicate, inspire, and motivate.

In my childhood, family and friends knew me as a shy, quiet, and often stuttering child. I think I’m lucky because behind those qualities, in college, thought and leadership I have given me a lot of leadership experience in student organizations that have forced me not to sink too deeply in my introverted attitude. A few years after I was established as an executive in a design company, a consulting company had offered me to share my thoughts about leadership into a training, and when I did, I was like discovering hidden wonders within me, a potential that I had not realized before.

In a short time, that miracle took me in many ways that meant a lot to me that have brought and met me together with many people and companies and organizations giving me many opportunities to share my thoughts for their interests.

A sense of meaning and happiness in sharing thoughts, helping, supporting, and inspiring solutions makes physical and mental fatigue became worth. I feel it once again like today when for several days I have been more in the room, with people and challenges, to uncover various problems by seeing them from various sides, both real and hidden, to inspire and find a solution.

This afternoon I came out of the walls that had hidden me from the open air and nature with gratitude. Three important things that I am thankful for once again are the awakening of my previously hidden potential, meaningful life by helping others, and the sincerity to leave something we love like touching nature to do other things that are not less important.

Hello, sun and open air, I face you, entering you again.

  1. I have done a lot of work mostly outside of my profession, and while I may have had issues with some of the people, I cannot really think of any job I ever had that I didn’t like. I believe that great satisfaction comes from a job well done, no matter at what level.

  3. I think sometimes I think I’ve more potential than I really do…
This overconfidence hurts me in many ways … and then O kept alternating between lack of confidence and overconfidence… it’s just annoying :/

  4. Not always education is a criterion for our hidden other talents. Though later discovered, it’s nice to find the right place to be. It gives you even more inspiration and passion for perfection. I hope you are well old (not as old) my friend.

    • Glad that we agree, my friend.

My talent awoke about twenty-eight years ago, and since then I have tried to explore myself more and more deeply. That is the reason I also always try to get other people out of the limits they make themselves.

  5. So good to read these words from you Albert. I can feel the happiness between each one. I can relate on a different level. I too learned from being a shy child. You tend to observe a lot more than others when you are shy. I have learned so much from observing. It has helped me in more ways than I thought possible. Have a great rest of the day!

    • Until now, I am still a shy person, even though I am more adept at speaking and expressing observations and thoughts. That’s the reason why my cheeks blushed every time you praise me.
And you are right, as a shy, I learn more from observing, and as a speaker, I continue to learn to listen and empathize in addition to not assume my self as the most right and dominating.
Have a great day too, Carol!

      • After I lost my son it was like I woke up in a different world from the inside out. I could talk all day about my experience, but I will not.. only to say that losing him has completely changed my attitude about life. I am more outspoken and not as tolerant as I once was. When you lose your world, literally, and when you finally get the pieces back together, in a different puzzle than before.. something has to change for you to go on. Public speaking does not terrify me like it once did. As long as I am talking about certain subjects. We can talk more again.
