April 7th Goals ~ Choices

This house needs to run like clockwork to keep things on track. We never know when he will be awake or asleep, so we can’t sleep at the same time. Someone has to be up by him. He is not steady and tries to get up. So that means sleeping in shifts and have someone awake with him round the clock.  (We are going to need to bring in reinforcements during my work days.  That needs to be organized today, because tomorrow is a work day. So I need to set up some in home health care. My sister will be here to take him to the doctor and that will be a great help. She will have to leave right after, ans we really appreciate the help.

I tried to nap twice today so I wouldn’t have such a hard time during my night shifts. I am certain we will make it work somehow.

I have been cooking as well so it should be easy and quick to have food ready when he needs it with medication or when he’s hungry.

  1. In my times when I am kind of really tired, I usually go play a video game like 2K8 Major League Baseball on the Nintendo Wii or play some bowling on the same videogame to relax.

  2. Funny how that goes in my younger days I would get quite exhausted depending on what kind of physical work I was doing but now in my twilight years, I seem to have more energy.

  3. Yes, I have really been exhausted with my husband too, he has been full time care and not much time to myself.
He had the shoulder replacement in October last year. They put him in a rest home tempory. Unfortunately because they drugged him with strong sleeping tablets, (they didn’t tell me I found out through my local chemist, infact they lied to me by giving me a fake list of his normal medicatios)
they caused me a lot of unnecessary problems. It took a month for him to become his normal self. He is not bed ridden but needs constant care as there is a lot he physically can’t do.
