Apple and Carrot Cake

1. I have two apple trees so there is always lots of apple cake, apple bread and pies throughout the year

   • Oh, that’s awesome! I usually use the not so sweet ones for baking, the good ones are gone right away. 🙂

2. Really, I have never eaten carrot cake because I think carrots are vegetables only suitable for cooked vegetables, salads, or savory snacks that are called pastel and bakwan in my place.

   • I thought so until a couple of years ago, but it turns out that they are not the only vegetables that can be used in desserts. Maybe if you try it, you will like it. 🙂 It’s not like they have a strong taste in the cake either.

     • A few minutes I thought about and remembered your post, I was trying to remember whether I had eaten carrot cake… Was the carrot mashed and mixed evenly and not sliced like apple cake? If it’s true, then maybe I have tried it even though it’s been so long so that I forgot.

       • I think it’s usually grated. It’s kind of pretty, because when the cake is baked, the little pieces of carrot look like orange conetti. 🙂

         • Yes, I’m sure you are right. The carrot is grated. You must know that I’m not a cooking expert.

7. Like bothe apple & carrot cakes , prefer apple cakes with walnuts. Adore fruit desserts, especially cherry pies.
