Announcement to keep the number of likes hidden.

The well-known photo-sharing app ‘Instagram’ will now experience the hidden number of likes on images. A few months ago, the company began its experience of hiding the number of likes in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Italy, Ireland and Brazil. Now the company will launch the experience in the United States in a few days with regard to keeping Likes hidden. During the WIRED25 conference, Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced that the United States will begin testing the hidden number of likes on the Instagram app from next week. In which likes will disappear on posts by some users of the app. He said that the number of likes on the post will only be visible to those who put the post on their account. While others will not be able to see the number of likes on this post.

Adam Mosseri says the purpose of hiding the number of likes is to make your followers on Instagram look more like what you’ve shared, Not just how many likes are coming to your post. He added that the main purpose of this change is to push users away from the number of likes they have on their posts.  It is also being tested due to the number of likes being compared to one another.
