Always Learning

Part of my job is to always be learning new things and try new approaches. Often times it is hard and rather frustrating. My brain is old and tired.  Today the assignment is a writing one and it is not one I am fond of. We are given three different titles and everyone in our class has to submit an article for each title to the teacher.

The teacher then submits them into a data base to see how many are truly interesting enough to have different information and be unique. He also goes through all the sources and reviews several things. While everyone may write a wonderful paper only one person gets credit for each title. The one he deems the best.  It often feels like work for nothing. Then I have to remind myself, that I learn new things when I am writing. I learn more about myself, others , topics and gain insights, no matter the scoring. It is not something I always remember. It hard to pour yourself into an assigned topic and feel like it wasn’t valued.

No, wait, it had to feel like any of your work is not valued.  I suppose the key is learning how to value it yourself, by your standards and let it be.

My finances and business depend on my learning skills and my performance. My self esteem  depends on how I learn to balance those things.
