Sorry but I am not talking about the dessert crepes, but the tree. I have one crepe myrtle tree in my yard that is full grown, in the photo above. I had three more planted a few weeks ago and cannot wait to see them grow into mature trees as well. They are all this crimson red color that is stunning, in my opinion. I read the other day a secret about these trees I had never thought of or heard of before. I will share with you:
Plant 3 different colored Crapes in the same hole with the root-balls touching. Take a piece of string and tie the 3 stems together so they are touching. In 2-3 years the stems will actually fuse together to become 1 tree with 3 different colored flowers. Your neighbors will wonder how you got a tree with 3 different colored flowers.

Never heard of the plant but the colour is stunning!!
They have been around forever. My Grandmother always had them.
I am familiar with this plant, but I didn’t know it came in a variety of colours. I shall have to get one for my garden. They are so pretty.
Yes they come in red, pink, purple and white.
