The phrase “under my thumb” always interested me. Not sure that it applies as often as people think it does. I won’t bore you with the origin of the saying, instead of for this the 300th post of the Photo_Cahllenge for me, let’s add another thumb picture and focus instead not on the thumb. Let us focus on the surface under the thumb that we are taught (or sadly sometimes learn directly) not to touch! The surface of what represents a stove. Induction stoves don’t heat the actual stove top as much as gas burners do. We had gas in our house before and replaced it with the cooktop you see. A note for Alex, this be my 3rd attempt at sharing my thumb, ARRGGH.
Today, rather than talk like a pirate is instead international Hobbit Day.
I love the Hobbit (there and back again, the red book of west march and so on).
Anyone can join the photo challenge – point shoot and then share!

well the observation about induction surface is right and that is a big advantage over other cooking devices
Thanks, I think. Induction surfaces are great because they don’t actually heat the surface.
There is always something somewhere someone is celebrating. Your thumb should be included. 🙂
Sports teams that win 4 world championships always talk about one for the thumb!
interesting thumb and ideas
Thanks Branka. It is a running joke in the photo challenge (for me)
Well doc, that is a fantastic thumb shot. I have some too! We should make this a challenge. Share your thumb week! hahaha
🙂 International thumb picture day! World heritage Thumb day. Last thumb on the block day (oh wait that is a bad one).
Thumbs up on the comment Kim~!
I got some, I found my thumb! Will share later. grins ~~ 😀
THumbs up kim! Did you ever ride any books by Tom Robbins? He had a book (Even Cowgirls get the blues) focused on thumbs and their uses.
No, I haven’t but have to admit that does sound like a fun read!
