2-Ingredient Banana Cake

What do you think about 2-ingredient recipes? Some people don’t take them seriously, but I love easy-to-make recipes.

Here is a simple 2-ingredient banana cake. Only bananas and eggs (2 medium bananas and 4 medium eggs); no added sugar or oil. I decided to add some cinnamon and vanilla though. It turned out very good. For an egg-free version of this dessert, you can use some nut butter and oat flour.

The texture reminds me of a pancake a lot, it’s soft and moist. Surprisingly, it doesn’t taste like a sweet omelette.

Let me know if you decide to try this recipe.

  1. I like to keep my cooking simple , but I would like more body to my banana cake. I need some flour and baking soda for lightness. I don’t like the eggy taste.

    • I personally don’t mind the eggy taste, but if you divide the egg yolks and whisk the egg whites, it will be much lighter. I personally avoid regular flour because I am not very experienced with it and often my cakes become a bit rubbery.

  2. I have the corniest two-ingredient recipe ever. it’s for a sundae. I use ice cream and chocolate syrup. I put the syrup on the ice cream. Ta-da!

  3. Thanks for sharing this! I like easy-to-make recipes too. I have made pancake with banana before, but that’s 3 ingredients. I’ll try this one. Thanks!
