I sprinkled a few sunflower seeds on the deck and the cardinals showed up. This is a male. The sunlight did not do the photo justice. He is a stunning bright red color.

Nothing like trying to shoot in no clouds broad daylight. It looks like its about 2 – 4 pm right before the glow starts.
The male cardinals are so beautiful and have a vivid red colour!
