I was watching the water flow and noticed something on the far rock. Do you see it? It is just about at water line in the middle of the frame, about to go into that still hole.

Did the snake creep up to it or just have escaped safely from the stream?
It had just escaped from the icy water. But is now trapped on the boulder in the middle of the rapids.
Is that algae? I wouldn’t think so in such fast moving water.
No algae here, the water is indeed too fast. The water is tinted by leaf tannins though.
