Where are all the hares?

From 24 June – 8 September 2018 there are 50 hares scattered around the city of Norwich, and 18 around the country for people to find and enjoy.  This is to raise awareness for the charity Break.  As you can see from the pictures, I have managed to find quite a few hares on my visit to Norwich the other day, but I didn’t manage to find all 50 of them.  But, the ones I got are pretty cool.   My personal favourite one is the Professor Hare, which is in the grounds of the Cathedral.  What is interesting about these hares, is that people can take part in a trail and mark off the ones they’ve found.  You can download a trail map and there’s also an app you can download to your phone so you can follow and trail the map.  I love how this event is interactive and people and upload their pictures to social media.

Norwich have done similar things in the past with elephants and gorilla’s.  And the end of the events the hares will be auctioned off.  It’s really fun to wander around Norwich, and also Norfolk, looking for these hares.  I found it really nice to see the children and their parents going up to the big hares and having their photographs taken with them.  If you are in Norwich, or in Norfolk, you might be interested in the GoGo Hare Trail.  It really is a lot of fun.  Not only are there the 50 hares to find, but there are 164 leverets too!

I’d be interested to know if any other cities around the world, or in England, do similar things?  I’m sure they must do.  If you have seen anything like this where you live, I’d like to know.
