Great photos. When I lived in Latvia we live in the capital Riga and it is on the Daugava River and when boating season arrived the river was always full of all kinds of boats. Everyone just had to be careful because in Riga Harbor the giant cruise ships also came in. I always thought I rather amusing seeing the tourist come out of the ship looking like little ants while the cruise ship towered above them at least four decks high. Now where I live in Florida I have the choice of wandering by the Atlantic Ocean or by the Halifax River.

With us, we have only one river floating … and this one flows through the capital … through the city center … all the other rivers are smaller and non-floating

We had very similar canoeing in Indiana. There were many rivers, but few you could navigate without picking the canoe up and carrying it.

Beautiful pictures and interesting names of boats. Rivers can be very dangerous for boats. I see in my rivers a lot of things that stay in the water after the storms.

Your boating and water posts always remind me of the times I would go deep sea fishing with my Dad and my brother. Great times. I would catch fisher bigger than I was. Cool memories.

They occupy a large water area these docks. I did not see any anomalies of fallen trees. The river looks calm.
