I suspect given the current weather I am going to go back to warm places pictures very soon. I have lots of Hawaii, Thailand, Mexico and US Mainland Beaches I can share. It is far too cold for me right now. When I was little, snow days were the best days. I would be outside all day in the snow sledding and play. Now I am just cold.
These pictures are of the Costa Cruise, heading towards the end of the fjord. We boarded the ship on the afternoon of the first day. We left the port of Copenhagen. On the far side of the port, where there wasn’t a deepwater port entrance (big ships need deep water) there was a wind farm. This was the coolest thing to see. There were quite a few wind turbines spinning. Plus, it was fun to watch the sailboats use the wind turbines as an obstacle course. Dodging between the huge towering turbines using only the wind.
The first main stop was in Norway. We boarded and put our stuff in our rooms. We spent a few minutes organizing our “home” for the next seven days and then wandered off for the buffet lunch. The boys, of course, had to try the hamburgers. The rest of us had a light lunch, and then we went to the top deck. The images you see are from the second day, and from the top deck!
