These were really awful and sad events that the whole world will remember forever … how sad but sad really, dear friend
-
your part of the world lived through much horror before (WWII) I wonder if we will ever mature to the point where we stop doing this to each other.
-
I don’t think we ever … in our two neighbors know how to talk wisely how only so many nations of different faiths will agree … always find any extremes or a home psychopath like Hitler … as long as there was a world of war … they were, and at least I think so … then it would be too beautiful in this beautiful world

it was a really tough day. There have been many since that were horrible as well. I am sad for every mass attack that has occured.

So sorry you lost a friend Doc. We never get over that. Memories as we always talk about are what we have.
-
it was hard, we had drifted apart he and I, and had literally not seen each other since college. I was in NYC in 2000 for a couple of weeks and called him on a Lark. We connected again!
I have friends that lost many many people that day.

I was living in Arkansas when this happened. I remember the day like it was yesterday. 🙁 I did not have any close friends and still cried all day. I am so sorry you actually knew people there that day, and thank you for the walk in the forest!

One of my dearest friends in the world used to work in the towers, he had left the job about a month before.
I remember talking to him two days later, he was still crying.
-
I bet, and he probably never completely got over it. How could you. I hope you still keep in touch.

I do. Last night channel 7 released pictures of the Pentagon that had never been showed.
I had to turn off the TV, I couldn’t stop crying. I know so many people know that lost people that day.
What I didn’t know was that there were DC area Elementary School kids on the plane that hit the pentagon.

they talked about it on the news yesterday. For the past 17 years I have not watched the news on purpose on the anniversary. I was in NYC on the 5th anniversary of the attack and i can’t unsee that.

i stopped because my father stayed 27 I figured answering the how can your father be 27 and you are 50, questions were hard.
so I stopped.
But the reality of what happened makes it hard to have September birthdays I suspect.
